I know I'm a day late with this news, but Microsoft dropped the price of their HD DVD addon for the Xbox 360 to $50. That means you get the HD DVD drive, a media center remote and 6 HD DVD movies all for $50 (King Kong in the box and 5 others by mail-in-rebate). The unit is discontinued so get one quick, plus to qualify for the 5 extra movies you need to purchase it by February 28th. I just bought one yesterday and got it hooked up to my computer. Watching King Kong in HD is amazing. Now I just need 5 Centimeters per Second to get an HD DVD release.

Warning: HD DVD is dead. Blu-ray won the fight. But I still think this is a great deal.
