Ending B

A jackal! It's a jackal! A jackal!

No More Heroes 2 cover

First, let me just point out that if you've actually taken a look at the cover and instruction manual of this game, not only do you know that Travis gets a dual wielding weapon, but that there are three characters that you control throughout the course of the game, and you know exactly who they are. Come, and join me in the Garden of Madness as I regale you with my thoughts on Travis' second short tale.

Two things. First, I created an "Ending B" account on YouTube, so that way we cam now upload any videos we may create for this site for all to see. Second, I made a quick little video of something... well... stupid. I just figured out how to splice sounds into the same scenes using Microsoft Movie Maker, and this was my test experiment (so please excuse the "less than stellar" video quality).

I'm not the type to review games until I've beaten them (if the game can be beaten, that is) and I wasn't about to change that for however long it's been since I last posted.

Let me just say this, if you have a Wii, you like messed up humor, and you enjoy action games, you should be playing this game, so while it's not needed, you should probably click for the full review. Before you do, perhaps you should drop a hot steaming save first.

If you've been around the internet, and especially 4chan, you've probably seen this demotivational poster

Slaughter Demotivational

It may be my morbid sense of humor, or my desire to find out why she's laughing so manically, but this poster made me want to go out and watch this series.

When the Cicadas Cry takes place in Japan over the course of a few days in June of 1983. The main character, Keiichi Maebara, has recently moved from a big city to the tiny town of Hinamizawa and is finally adjusting to life there with the help of his new female friends.

Up until Feb. 28th, 2010, Telltale game is running a special where you can buy all five episodes of Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People for $9.95, a significant drop from it's original price of $29.95. I would highly recommend this game at its original price, but with the special deal going on now, there's no excuse not to buy it.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

by Eric Kociecki

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Where did she go, you ask? Well right on over to Japanese theaters, that's where! The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya opened in Japanese theaters on February 6th and has been doing pretty well as far as anime movies go. This is a full-length movie clocking in at just over 2 hours and 40 minutes in length and as far as I know that's all original footage (no Endless Eight shenanigans). No word yet on a US release.

Ohayocon Day 2 Snapshot

by Eric Kociecki

Saturday, February 6, 2010

I know this is exactly one week late, but I wanted to let everyone know that I am working on a larger Ohayocon summary post that will be up in the next week or two. Until then, enjoy these pictures that I was in the process of posting last Sunday morning while waiting for people to wake up for Ohayocon.

Ohayocon AMV Goodness

by Craig Olsen

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Hello all! All of us at Ending B had a great time at Ohayocon this year. Since I've now started to attend the AMV contest panels this year, I thought it would be fun to share some of the ones that we watched. Though I had an extreme few to chose from (both from YouTube and Google), I picked out three that were fun to watch. I hope you enjoy them.

All AMVs featured are done so with permission from their creators.

Before we get any further, the next two AMV's are from the action category. While the first has a fair amount of fighting, the last one contains explicit scenes of violence and gore (thank you Resident Evil for that phrase).

Ohayocon 2010 Day One

by Eric Kociecki

Saturday, January 30, 2010

One day down and I'm awake nice and early getting ready for the second day. Not much to say about Friday, but we had a lot of fun. Met some new people, saw some old friends, took pictures of complete strangers, and chatted with all. Click for more more cosplay pictures after the jump.

Ohayocon 2010

C-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER! That was close! Our most prolific author, Craig, was one post away from owning the entire front page.

Back on topic ... Ohayocon is one week away! It's time to break out your costumes, brush up on your Nipponese, and ride the nearest cat bus to downtown Columbus. The Ending B crew will be there in force partaking of the usual anime and Japanese-inspired activities.

Usually in these pre-con posts I advertise for our friend Kim's Artist Alley table, but this year she won't be there. Instead I'm gonna highly recommend that everyone check out three panels hosted by the friendly folks from Borderline Hikikomori. The first panel is a Soul Eater fan panel. The other two panels are about creating and running an anime blog. You can check out their schedule for these panels at their site.

Hope to see lots of people there for another great convention!
